About Young’s Cottages
Welcome to Young’s Cottages, located on the beautiful and pristine Palmerston Lake.
We are just 4 km from the village of Ompah, one of many rural towns in the North Frontenac Land O’ lakes region of Eastern Ontario and easily accessible form Ottawa, Kingston and Toronto on well maintained county roads.
We have cottaged and/or resided in this beautiful and still relatively unspoiled area for 60 years. We have raised our children here and now enjoy sharing our little piece of paradise with families, nature lovers and outdoors enthusiasts.
We have two all-season cottages and a seasonal Bunkie style Guesthouse for rent. We offer smoke/pet free, clean accommodations for 1-6 people. Choose from a very private setting with a short walk to the lake, or a semi private lakefront location.
Our cottages are quickly booked up during the high season and ordinarily better than 50% of our clientele are repeat visitors. July and August reservations begin in earnest in January and we recommend inquiring early to ensure you receive your preferred vacation time.
There is significantly higher availability during low season with reasonable rates. Long weekends, stat holidays and all regularly scheduled school breaks have a tendency to fill up fast. ie: Christmas, New Years, Family Day, March Break, Easter, Victoria Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving. We take pleasure in hosting families with children as well as ATV and snowmobile enthusiasts.
Understanding our guests need for privacy is a priority for us so we try to keep a low profile yet are willingly available for assistance and information if required. We enjoy hearing your stories as well and encourage you to feel “at home” in our cottage properties and hope that you will grow to love this area with each return visit, as we do.
